For students who are about to graduate, or who have graduated within the last two years, we offer full-time employment pathways that let you start your career while exploring different business areas within Definity.
The programs include structured hands-on learning, plenty of social and networking opportunities, and access to business leaders who will guide and mentor you along the way. You’ll solve real-world challenges and contribute to the growth of our business from the start.
Once you’ve successfully completed the two–year program, you’ll have in-depth business knowledge of the company, new skills and insights, excellent growth opportunities, and full-time employment. Not to mention Definity's full-time employee benefits and perks from day one.

Actuarial and Advanced Analytics New Graduate Rotational Program
Join an innovative, project-based team whose members specialize in data science, predictive modelling, and actuarial expertise. You'll cover business needs and opportunities and gain the foundational knowledge to be well-rounded professionals in the actuarial or advanced analytics space.
Your degree program:
Actuarial science, data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a relevant discipline
Your skill set:
Strong programming skills; knowledge of Python, R, or SQL; efficient use of Microsoft applications (Excel, VBA, Access, etc.); and excellent problem solving, communication, and organizational skills
Rotational program length:
Two years — three periods of eight months each in any of the business areas listed
Rotational business areas:
Advanced Analytics, Corporate Actuarial, Personal Insurance Pricing, Commercial Insurance, Business Operations

Specialty Lines and Mid-Market Underwriting New Graduate Rotational Program
If you’re looking for a comprehensive understanding of Commercial underwriting within the insurance industry, this program provides valuable experience and the opportunity to make an impact on business decisions. Gain a strong foundation through access to various areas of the business with excellent growth opportunities.
Your degree program:
Business, economics, or a relevant discipline progressing towards becoming an underwriter
Your skill set:
Strong financial acumen, willingness to obtain your CIP designation, excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a changing work environment
Rotational program length:
Two years — two one-year placements in the Speciality business areas listed, or three multi-month placements in the Mid-Market business areas listed

Mid-Market stream
Auto and Property Processing, Small & Medium Enterprise Underwriting, Mid-Market Underwriting

Claims New Graduate Rotational Program
This program provides valuable hands-on experience and a broad skill set in claims management, leadership development, customer service, and more. You’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of the core functions within Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance claims and accelerate your career in the insurance industry.
Your degree program:
Business, economics, science, or a relevant discipline
Your skill set:
Ability to quickly assess situations, identify key issues, and work with customers and vendors to resolve situations effectively and efficiently, commitment to ongoing professional development, and the ability to adapt to changing workplace priorities and demands
Rotational program length:
Two years — four placements of varying lengths in the business areas listed
Rotational business areas:
Customer Care Centre (CCC), CCC Administration, Automotive/Property Claims, Accident Benefits, Business Intelligence, Vendor Management, Special Investigations Unit, Subrogation
