What can you expect in this role?
Support the ICFR (Internal Control over Financial Reporting) validation program including technology risk and control testing for business and technology controls to assess, validate and report on the design and effectiveness of key internal controls. Capture evidence of control design and operating effectiveness. Opportunity to support ad-hoc risk projects as required.
About the role:
Support the ICFR (Internal Control over Financial Reporting) validation program for technology and business processes controls including:
Assist in planning and scoping activities
Facilitate collaboration with client engagement team prior to commencement of work
Participate in Walkthroughs and testing the design of key controls
Testing and documentation of the operating effectiveness of key controls
Support in reporting of deficiencies noted in testing.
Opportunity to support ad-hoc risk projects as required.
What do you bring to the role?
Working toward a business, accounting or computing science degree with interest in risks and controls.
Self-driven, able to move tasks & projects forward independently and with personal accountability
Team player and excellent collaborator, able to both lead & participate functional discussions
Adaptive and Agile, able to rapidly pivot your efforts between multiple priorities as business needs change
A high degree of personal ethics, integrity, and responsibility with an ability to deal with sensitive issues and safeguard confidential information

Hybrid flexibility to work partially in office

Work Location: the position will either be a hybrid (1-3 days in office) or fully remote. These positions are spread across our different locations including Kitchener/Waterloo, Mississauga and Toronto
