We have several co-op opportunities available in our Personal Insurance (PI) department. The PI department is a crucial part of our business and through our innovative digital platforms and automation of underwriting processes, we’ve transformed the way personal insurance is delivered to our customers.  

About the Role: 

As part of the PI team, you could be working in one of several teams in either Operational Planning & Analysis or Product and Underwriting providing key internal stakeholders with value-added business performance insights and financial analysis to assist in decision making for the long-term business needs of the Personal Insurance business lines. 

• Analyzing Monthly/Quarterly actuals to plan/forecast and operational data 

• Supporting the preparation of divisional business performance reporting for both internal and external stakeholders 

• Supporting the annual Operational Planning and quarterly forecasting for PI 

• Preparing related analysis and report for forecasts 

• Research to support product and pricing development in all provinces 

• Gathering of data to complete competitive analysis to ensure alignment with our product offerings 

• Enhancing the broken distribution channel to certain provinces through employee engagement, customer experience and broker relationship projects 

• Preparing ad-hoc analysis and reports on a timely manner 

What you bring: 

• Currently pursuing a university degree in Business, Finance or other related programs with a graduation date later than January 2023 

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Access. VBA skills would be an asset 

• Strong analytical skills 

• Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks 

• Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers 

• Ability to work in a team or independently with moderate supervision                      

• Self-motivated and consistently demonstrates an ability to take initiative 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Work Location: the position will either be a hybrid (1-3 days in office) or fully remote. These positions are spread across our different locations including Kitchener/Waterloo, Montreal, and Toronto
