Reporting into the Accounting Reporting and AP team, this role is perfect for a finance or accounting student looking to gain experience in a large, well-established finance department.  

About the role 

  • Opportunity to work with a highly collaborative and welcoming finance team 

  • Support month-end and quarter-end financial reporting including the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations 

  • Provide timely, accurate, and complete financial information to support ad-hoc requests and special projects 

  • Assist with regulatory reporting and surveys 

  • Identification of any potential problems or risk areas as well as opportunities for process improvement 

  • Assist in the creation of new reporting and analysis to support decision making 

  • Assist in the preparation of presentation materials 

  • Role will provide candidate with CPA PERT hours if required 

What do you bring to the role? 

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field 

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills 

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines 

Work Location: the position will either be a hybrid (1-3 days in office) or fully remote. These positions are spread across our different locations including Kitchener/Waterloo, Mississauga and Toronto
