What can you expect in this role?

  • Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Underwriting, Commercial Property, this position provides an opportunity to use your commercial underwriting to create products specific to property and casualty lines of business and well-developed analytical skills to effectively provide guidance in the development of branch underwriting decisions, corporate underwriting philosophies and contribute to a portfolio of commercial accounts across the organization. Internally, we call this position as Corporate Underwriting, Senior  Analyst. This role is open to all locations. Provide product direction, creation, and implementation
  • Providing direction and support to the Divisions/Regions in risks that are outside of authority (underwriting referrals)
  • Providing underwriting analysis
  • Representing the company on internal and external committees

What do you bring to the role?

  • University degree or a college diploma
  • Must have CIP designation and nice to have - FCIP and CRM
  • Minimum of 5 years commercial property and casualty underwriting experience at a senior level
  • Strong understanding of commercial property and casualty products and underwriting systems
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Team player adaptable to a changing environment
  • Professional, friendly, and courteous in all interactions
  • Perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
