What can you expect in this role?

• Investigating Atlantic claims to determine liability and quantum handling Automobile Third Party Bodily Injury Claims and third party property damage for the Family Insurance Solutions book of business
• Confirming policy coverage
• Maintaining detailed file records on an electronic claims system
• Attending/participating in mediation as a representative of Economical and Family insurance
• Settle claims directly with the third parties and with plaintiff lawyers

What do you bring to the role?

• University degree, a college diploma or the CIP designation
• Minimum 2 years of claims handling experience
• Licensed in all applicable Atlantic provinces 
• Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers
• Perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure
• Team player adaptable to a changing environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Prior casualty experience would be preferred
