What can you expect in this role?
- Investigating Atlantic claims to determine liability and quantum handling Automobile Third Party Bodily Injury Claims and third party property damage for the Family Insurance Solutions book of business
- Confirming policy coverage
- Maintaining detailed file records on an electronic claims system
- Attending/participating in mediation as a representative of Economical and Family insurance
- Settle claims directly with the third parties and with plaintiff lawyers
What do you bring to the role?
- University degree, a college diploma or the CIP designation
- Minimum 2 years of claims handling experience
- Licensed in all applicable Atlantic provinces
- Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers
- Perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure
- Team player adaptable to a changing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prior casualty experience would be preferred
