Analyst, HR Shared Services | 12 months contract

What can you expect in this role?

The Analyst, HR Shared Services is accountable to managers, team leaders and staff to efficiently deliver HR operational support and exceptional customer service.  The Shared Services team will be accountable for the intake of all front-line inquiries into HR and providing resolution to issues within the scope of their control. Such inquiries include those related to HR programs and practices including pension and benefits administration, general inquiries from leaders, staff and prospective employees, recruitment process support and forms flow questions.  The Shared Services team will provide support through one central phone line and email and provide back-office support to the talent acquisition, organizational development and total rewards teams.

The Analyst, Shared Services will work collaboratively with the talent acquisition function, the organizational development function, total rewards, payroll and HR Business Partners to foster a positive experience for new and existing Economical employees.

  • Provide services, support and counsel to leaders and employees across Economical
  • Support and execute on various on HR processes including eaves of absences, resignations, retirements, medical absences, learning and development and recognition.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to share ideas, ownership, and accountability for driving improvements and consistency of execution for key Human Resources processes
  • Support the deployment, administration and sustainment of new and existing HR programs
  • Understand and participate in updating our employment policy and practices
  • Required to rotate monitoring the team phone on a weekly basis for urgent issues.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years work experience in a similar role
  • Post secondary education in a business or HR Program
  • Exceptional customer service approach
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
  • Ability to work well independently, under time pressure with frequent time deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong desire to continuously improve and help others improve
  • Must be dependable, pro-active and flexible
  • Previous employee relations experience is an asset
  • CHRP/CHRL completed or in progress is an asset
  • You’re highly flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • You’re excellent at identifying and articulating problems and solutions and influencing decision-makers
  • You’re highly organized, self-motivated, customer oriented and able to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment, and with internal business partners at all levels of the organization
  • You recognize when customers might not be satisfied with a solution, even though the solution meets the requirements, and you are comfortable recommending alternatives.
