What can you expect in this role?

 

This individual will support Operational Insights in the Operational Excellence team with data extracting, consolidation, analysis and insights. The Business Analyst Co-op will support with regular reporting on Business Benefits, Productivity reporting on a quarterly basis as well as ad hoc data reporting, analysis and presentations supporting Commercial Insurance. 

 

What you’ll be doing 

 

Operational Insights

 

  • Maintain and update the monthly Business benefit tracking tool through data extraction, manipulation and reporting the results to the leadership team.  
  • Support CI transformation initiatives with ad hoc data requests, analysis and reporting to estimate the business benefits pre inception 
  • Support Operational insights team with building Business benefit frameworks that capture benefits driven by initiatives post launch and regularly monitor and report the results to leadership team 
  • Support with building a data driven productivity model through establishing stablish operational productivity benchmark at individual operational levels to facilitate strategic FTE allocation discussions. 
  • Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns and insights that drive business decisions 

 

What you bring

 

  • Currently enrolled in a university or College Program 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present data and information to various audiences 
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail 
  • Proactive and responsive to changing timelines and priorities 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) with proficiency in data manipulation (Excel)  
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze, draw insights, understand the 'so what', and communicate key findings to stakeholders

The hourly compensation for the role starts at $22/h and will increase based on factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, and the recommended rates as set by the respective educational institution.
