This role is responsible for aligning and ensuring organizational readiness of releases, preparing the team and content for release, managing logistics for the release, and reviewing the release chain for constant improvement.

What you’ll be doing
- Proactively engage teams to align timing and Coordination of the release schedule and resources across different teams with a focus on optimizing release flow.
- Participating in release management activities as required and provide support to enterprise release rollouts including shift and weekend support
- Manage the logistics of release ensuring people and technology are in place to ensure a smoot and successful release.
- Identify opportunities and implement solutions to optimize the release flow technology teams
- Keep leaders and business stakeholders updated about the release progress Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
- Conduct Post-Release analyses to evaluate the success of the release and embed improvements into release practices
- Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
- Provide coverage for Change Management as required.
What you bring to the role
- Minimum 8+yrs of IT enterprise release readiness experience is required
- 2+ years of experience in Change management
- Experience in building common strategies for release governance across multiple business groups
- Knowledge in branching, merging and readiness for implementation activities
- Experience in Blue Green Deployment release process, Cloud Release Management, Agile methodologies and Scrum master skills
- Stakeholder management and cross team management
- Clear understanding of Version control and types of deployment
- Experience with the following tools: Docker, Jenkins, ELK, Artifactory, Ansible, Vault, Consul, Kubernetes, Terraform, JIRA, Confluence, nginx, HA Proxy, SoftLayer, GIT, Bitbucket, ArgoCD,HELM, AWS, GCP
- Understanding of Cloud technologies (AWS and GCP) and tools
- Knowledge of DevOps, GitOps, and continuous integration and development (CI/CD) tools. Ability to identify gaps and implement improvements to the CI/CD pipeline
- Knowledge of Application development life cycle and testing
- Experience with E2E enterprise integrated systems
- Relevant tools assessment and replacement/upgrade recommendations based on current and trending Best Practices
- Knowledge in branching, merging and readiness for implementation activities
- Insurance COTS product knowledge and ITIL v4 certified is an asset
