Reporting to the Director, Financial Risk Oversight, this person will be responsible for performing risk measurement and analysis on all types of the risks including credit risk, capital risk, market & liquidity risk, following the company’s risk management frameworks, policies and models.
This work will provide key stakeholders with insights and financial risk analysis to assist in their decision-making process for managing the day-to-day and long-term financial / investment needs of the company.
Articulating and effectively communicating the results of this analysis is also a critical part of the role. In addition, the role is responsible for identifying any potential problems or emerging risks that key stakeholders may need to be aware of and act upon.
What can you expect in this role?
- Performs risk, investment performance and financed emissions (GhG-green house gas), monitoring and analysis of current and future portfolios.
- Enhances and maintains in-house risk assessment and reporting tools to facilitate deeper understanding of portfolio risks and driver of changes.
- Gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards to provide insights and recommendations.
- Identifies and analyzes issues and problems and resolves in a timely manner or escalates as required.
- Assist with the development and enhancement of the processes leading to better risk management framework and improvement of internal risk controls.
- Support the development and maintenance of documentation related to risk tools and processes, ensuring consistency and compliance with internal standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging risks, regulatory developments and best practices to contribute to the continuous improvement of the risk management function.
What do you bring to the role?
- Good understanding of financial markets and the regulatory environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and data modelling is required.
- Strong analytical, statistical and quantitative skills.
- Great communication skills.
- Proficiency in working with statistical tools like: Excel, VBA, Python, SQL.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives concurrently.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in the financial services sector.
- Experience with financial applications like Bloomberg is an asset.
Education requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science or the equivalent.
- Completed / Working towards a professional designation CFA, FRM designation.

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
