This position is a key reporting/analytical resource for the Portfolio Management team. This role will provide competitive and business analysis supporting Home and Automobile portfolio management and underwriting decision-making. This role involves transforming data into action-oriented analysis that drives improved business decision-making across the organization. Automating and optimizing the delivery of KPI reports/information will also be a core responsibility.

What can you expect in this role?

• Automate and optimize the delivery of KPI reports to support monthly meetings with senior leadership and stakeholders

• Build competitive pricing summaries on market movement and Definity's positioning within market on key product and customer segments

• Work with Pricing and Underwriting to measure competitive impact of various product and pricing proposals to influence the business decision-making process. Interactions with MPA, Pricing, Business Platforms and other groups across the enterprise

• Develop and maintain standardized monitoring dashboards for each portfolio to assist with measuring performance and mix of business by customer segment

• Support ADHOC projects and data requests / analysis

What do you bring to the role?

• University Degree or College Diploma in a relevant program

• Ideally a minimum of 2-4 years of relevant, property & casualty insurance experience

• Strong data analytical capabilities, and proficient in SQL, Tableau and Microsoft Office

• Strong analytical, organizational, communication and presentation skills

• Excellent time management and collaboration skills will be required given multiple competing demands

• Self-motivated and consistently demonstrates an ability to take initiative on any issue

 

High degree of proficiency with English required to service customers, both internal to the company and external, across Canada. 

Salary Range: $50,200 - $92,500

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.  In addition to base pay, eligible employees may participate in various incentive plans which are paid out at the discretion of the company and subject to individual and company performance.
