Our purpose-driven organization is seeking a dynamic Senior Specialist, Digital Media. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing & Media, this role will plan, implement and measure Definity and Economical digital campaigns with a focus on driving brand and business growth and affinity.

What can you expect to be accountable for in this role?

Digital Media & Campaign Planning:

Working with the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing & Media:

  • Develop and recommend digital media strategies to support desired brand/business growth and experience, working with brand, content and broker marketing teams and other stakeholders.
  • Support development of annual and quarterly digital marketing plans, aligned with broker and brand marketing plans as well as Definity’s broader business goals. 
  • Support development of digital media initiatives, collaborating with internal teams and external agencies. Includes SEM; paid digital advertising, content and social media campaigns.

Digital Media & Campaign Implementation: 

  • Plan, implement and track digital media initiatives and campaigns, including ongoing optimizations and test and learn plans. Complex omni-channel campaigns will be planned and executed in partnership with an external media agency.
  • Recommend, track and report on digital media budgets.

Measurement, Metrics and Reporting:

  • Support the tracking, measurement, and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness of digital media spending and initiatives. May include the set-up of dashboards and reporting.
  • Socialize digital media findings and collaborate with key stakeholders as part of team to review and align on progress and action plans.

Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Champion best practices in digital media planning, testing, and reporting. Includes ongoing exploration of potential new channels and approaches.
  • Contribute to a positive, empowering culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Ensure the consistent application of operational processes; Recommend and support ongoing improvements.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Degree in Marketing, Business or Communications.
  • 5-7 years progressive experience in the marketing field, with 

strong expertise in digital media.

  • Experience in insurance preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate internal cross-functional project teams and external agencies to deliver intended results with excellence.
  • Strong people skills, with demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated orientation towards positive mindset, problem solving, detail orientation, ownership, collaboration, and flexibility.
  • Demonstrated brand, business and digital media acumen.
  • Experience in data analysis and consumer insights to drive informed decisions.
  • Related experience in mining for insights, tracking and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to positively navigate change in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously using internal and agency resources.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a strong attention to detail.

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.  In addition to base pay, eligible employees may participate in various incentive plans which are paid out at the discretion of the company and subject to individual and company performance.
