Our purpose-driven organization is seeking a dynamic Senior Brand Specialist. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Brand, Planning & Content, this role will serve as an important brand champion, contributing to the planning, implementation, and measurement of brand initiatives with a focus on driving brand association, affinity, and growth.
What can you expect to be accountable for in this role?
Brand Planning & Activation:
Working with the Senior Manager, Brand, Planning & Content:
- Champion and help bring to life the unique value proposition for the Definity portfolio of brands, supporting delivery of consistent differentiated, brand experience across all touchpoints.
- Support the development and coordination of annual and quarterly brand plans, naming, and identity initiatives.
- Develop, execute, and measure brand initiatives, collaborating with internal teams and external agencies. Work may include brand and content activations, integrated and omni-channel advertising campaigns, sponsorships, and events.
- Recommend and track brand initiative budgets.
Brand Governance:
- Apply brand governance frameworks and processes to ensure consistency of brand and brand identity.
Brand Measurement:
- Support the tracking, measurement, and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess brand progress and health across the portfolio.
- Socialize brand health findings and collaborate with key stakeholders as part of team to review and align on progress and action plans.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Champion brand best practices and expertise across the organization.
- Contribute to a positive, empowering culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Ensure the consistent application of operational processes; Recommend and support ongoing improvements.
What do you bring to the role?
- University degree in Marketing, Business or Communications.
- 5-7 years progressive experience in the marketing field, with
strong expertise in brand (brand development, marketing or brand strategy, brand consulting or brand activation) and broad experience across all disciplines and channels of marketing.
- Experience in insurance and/or events preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate internal cross-functional project teams and external agencies to deliver intended results with excellence.
- Strong people skills, with demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated orientation towards positive mindset, problem solving, detail orientation, ownership, collaboration, and flexibility.
- Demonstrated brand and business acumen.
- Experience in applying market research, data analysis and consumer insights to drive informed decisions.
- Related experience in mining for insights, tracking and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to positively navigate change in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
- Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously using internal and agency resources.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a strong attention to detail.

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may participate in various incentive plans which are paid out at the discretion of the company and subject to individual and company performance.
