We are seeking a Manager of Customer Segmentation to drive data-driven growth and enhance customer experience. Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Segmentation, you’ll develop and implement sophisticated segmentation strategies that inform our marketing and business decisions for our direct to consumer brands, Sonnet & Petline. Leveraging tools like Environics Analytics PRIZM, you’ll uncover insights to refine our targeting and customer engagement efforts, while aligning to underwriting risk parameters. This role combines stakeholder management, data analytics and technical expertise, translating complex data into actionable strategies. What can you expect to be accountable for in this role?

Building Segmentation Models:

  • Develop and implement sophisticated customer segmentation strategies to drive business growth and improve customer experience
  • Build and maintain advanced data segmentation models using various analytical tools and techniques
  • Leverage Environics Analytics PRIZM tools to enhance customer insights and targeting capabilities

Collaboration to Surface Insights:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data-driven insights into actionable marketing and business strategies
  • Manage and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities within our customer base

Actionable Reporting & Thought Leadership:

  • Collaborate with the Business Insights team to integrate segmentation into BAU reporting 
  • Develop and present comprehensive reports and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in customer segmentation and data analytics 

What do you bring to the role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in customer segmentation, data analytics, or related field
  • Proven track record in building and implementing data segmentation models
  • Experience working in portfolio-based businesses, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector
  • Proficiency in using Environics Analytics PRIZM tools
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in statistical analysis and data mining techniques
  • Excellent knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and work effectively with cross-functional teams

Problem solving and strategic thinker with excellent attention to detail

Salary Range: $77,100 - $142,000

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.  In addition to base pay, eligible employees may participate in various incentive plans which are paid out at the discretion of the company and subject to individual and company performance.
