What can you expect from the role?

  • Accepting notice of claim and working with the customer and preferred Vendors to resolve the claim quickly and efficiently
  • Confirming policy coverage by ensuring the facts of the claim fall within the scope of the policy
  • Maintaining detailed file records by entering pertinent data into the appropriate systems
  • Processing claims payments within level of authority after verifying claimant's entitlement
  • Initiating salvage and subrogation procedures on assigned files
  • Assist in managing the property queues
  • You are available to work within the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST

What you bring to the role?

  • A university degree, 2-year college diploma or CIP designation would be an asset
  • Min of 2 years experience in property claims
  • Licensed in New Brunswick, PEI and Newfoundland would be an asset
  • Experience in auto or property claims (knowledge of property is an asset)
  • Familiarity with CICS and CDS system
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Actively pursuing CIP designation
  • Must be available to participate in catastrophic loss duties across Ontario (potentially on a national basis) if support is required by other regions
  • Bilingual capabilities (French and English) would be an asset
  • Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers
  • Able to perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure
  • Team player adaptable to a changing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Salary range is $48,700 - $89,800
