Reporting to the team leader, Liability, Quebec, you will be accountable for investigating and adjusting Bodily Injury and Physical Damage claims. This includes property claims for both Personal and Commercial Lines. You must have a license delivered by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).            

What can you expect in this role?

  • Confirm coverage on policy.
  • Investigate liability claims to identify fault and establish settlements.
  • Maintain detailed management of complex cases in the electronic claims system.
  • Participate in mediation, pre-trials, and settlement initiatives.
  • Handle claims directly with claimants and/or their legal representatives.
  • Assist with training and provide technical support to team members.
  • Provide coaching and support to other team members.

What do you bring to the role?

  • University degree, college diploma, or CIP designation.
  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years claims management experience. 
  • At least four years of experience with bodily injury and physical damage commercial general liability claims, including participation to settlement conferences and arbitration.
  • Professional, friendly, and courteous with all stakeholders.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure.
  • Team player adaptable to a changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of proficiency with English required to service customers, both internal to the company and external, across Canada. 

Salary Range: $55,800 - $102,800
