We are seeking a Senior Manager, Strategy Management to join the Corporate Strategy Office, who will play a key role in driving our corporate strategic portfolio planning and monitoring to support achievement of our strategic objectives. The individual will be a strategic professional with demonstrated experience and expertise in cross-functional collaboration, relationship-building, and portfolio planning and governance. This role will be an individual contributor.
What can you expect in this role?
- Drive the annual strategic portfolio planning and prioritization process in alignment with strategic goals, and in collaboration with a cross functional team
- Maintain methodology and toolkit for planning and prioritization of enterprise strategic initiatives; ensure right sizing and adaptation as needed to enable effective decision making
- Ensure appropriate governance and monitoring is in place for successful execution of strategic initiatives
- Facilitate an enterprise steering committee to review and assess portfolio performance against strategic, financial and risk management factors
- Align workforce planning to strategic objectives through capacity monitoring and oversight with risk assessments
- Liaise with functional leaders to keep abreast of emerging priorities across business lines and shared services to inform prioritization decisions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to refine and optimize existing enterprise planning processes; support the development of strategic and operational processes and frameworks that enhance enterprise capabilities
- Partner with the Integration Management Office on integration readiness activities as applicable
- Lead and/or participate in initiatives undertaken within the Corporate Strategy team and tied to organization’s longer-term ambitions
- Support the leadership team with development of materials that communicate information and ideas effectively

What do you bring to this role?
- 5+ years of strategic planning and/or corporate portfolio management experience
- Proven experience managing a cross-functional team on large-budget, cross-disciplinary and complex project portfolio
- Undergraduate degree at a leading university, with high proven achievement
- Expert proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required
- P&C insurance industry experience is desired but not necessary
- Demonstrated success in delivering and executing in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment
- Ability to think and act strategically, but also be willing to roll up the sleeves and put strategies and plans into motion
- Strong business acumen, with demonstrated aptitude for analytical and critical thinking
- Continuous improvement mindset, ready to challenge the status quo and drive new and improved ways of working
- Team player: demonstrated ability to collaborate with others to achieve results
- Strong influencing and relationship building skills with ability to build rapport with senior stakeholders in the company
- High level of attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- A high degree of personal ethics, integrity, and responsibility with an ability to deal with sensitive issues and safeguard confidential information
Salary Range: $84,000 - $154,700
