As the SEO Lead of Sonnet’s growing SEO team within Sonnet’s Customer Experience division, you will take on the day-to-day management of SEO activities, act as a liaison between our in-house teams and external agencies, support the SEO Manager in executing SEO Strategies and overall SEO initiatives.
What can you expect in this role?
• Manage and execute day-to-day SEO operations, including technical and content optimization, to drive organic traffic and improve search engine rankings
• Act as the main point of contact and liaison between in-house teams and external SEO agencies to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
• Implement SEO best practices and strategies in collaboration with in-house copywriters, content creators, UX designers, developers, and project management teams
• Utilize project management skills to push SEO initiatives forward, track progress, and measure results effectively
• Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry changes to ensure the company's SEO strategy remains effective and competitive
• Perform technical SEO audits and provide recommendations for website optimizations
• Utilize various SEO tools, including SEMRUSH, Screaming Frog, Google Lighthouse, Ahrefs, Data Studio/Looker, and Web Developer tools, to analyze data and optimize SEO performance
• Work closely with the SEO Manager to develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with the company's goals.
What do you bring to the role?
• In-depth knowledge of all aspects of SEO, including technical and content optimization, and a thorough understanding of how search engine algorithms work
• 4+ years of specialized SEO experience in digital marketing agencies or in-house
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, push initiatives forward, and track and measure SEO results effectively
• Experience implementing SEO optimizations in Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Experience collaborating with in-house copywriters, content creators, UX designers, developers, and project management teams either at an agency or client-side
• Proficiency in all major SEO tools such as GA, GSC, SEMRUSH, Screaming Frog, Google Lighthouse, Ahrefs, Data Studio/Looker, Web Developer tools, etc.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc is an asset.
• Educational degree, diploma, or equivalent in related field

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
