Reporting to the Manager, Technical Specialists, the Specialist – Technical processing is responsible for providing quality review, training, onboarding and Subject Matter Expertise and support to the Ontario and Atlantic Regional Processing Centres. 

The successful candidate for this role works with the leadership team to provide timely and adequate training and development of processing staff, provide guidance, on-the-job training, technical instructions, and leadership support to staff relative to onboarding new hires, performance, productivity, and adherence to processes and Corporate Policy and Procedures. 

What can you expect in this role?

  • Lead and/or participate in file reviews for quality assurance purposes.
  • Provide training and mentoring to the commercial processing departments, using available resources and assist with the development of new training materials.
  • Assist the leadership team as required, providing appropriate documentation/reports to help identify and quantify potential trends, both positive and adverse.
  • Review quality review findings and help identify trends, training gaps and best practices.  Coordinate with leadership, the actions required to ensure outcome of actions taken improve the underwriting/processing quality and profitability.
  • Focus on creation of SOP documents for RPC, while coordinating with other Regions and Stakeholders.
  • Foster a positive working relationship with Head Office, Mid-Market Underwriting, other regional offices, and departments.
  • Champion the development and implementation of business change.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?

  • University degree in any discipline or a 2-year diploma from a publicly recognized and funded college or a completed CIP designation
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Processing role
  • Excellent ability to multi-task and monitor progress to meet deadlines
  • Prior experience in developing and providing training
  • Strong analytical skills: able to quickly interpret data, information, reports and come to a decision quickly
  • Strong customer service, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • Ability to influence and effectively negotiate with stakeholders

Salary Range is: $66,300 - $122,100
