The Resiliency Manager plays a critical role leading the enterprise technology disaster recovery program at Definity. Working across multiple stakeholders this role will develop an integrated Disaster Recovery program and required processes, ongoing testing and continuous improvement of the processes, and ensure that data and services are being built in a secure and resilient manner

What can you expect in this role?  

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and industry leaders to design and develop IT Disaster Recovery and business continuity strategies integrating on-prem and Cloud platforms.
  • Configure and implement IT Disaster recovery solutions, leveraging standard industry tools, data replication technologies and cloud-based recovery services.
  • Plan and execute regular IT Disaster recovery testing and validation exercises, leveraging automation, monitoring, and alerting tools as needed.
  • Lead IT Disaster Recovery incident response activities and provide expert guidance during crisis situations, collaborating with key technology and business leaders across the enterprise.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, preparedness and awareness within Definity, including incident response and communication tools like mass notification systems and collaboration platforms.

 What do you bring to the role? 

  • 8+ years’ experience of hands on experience in IT Disaster Recovery design, planning and implementation in mid-sized to large enterprises across Cloud and On-Prem environments
  • Experience with IT Disaster Recovery program development including critical elements such as Business Impact Analysis, Recoverability Assessment, Business and Technology Strategy Development, Planning, Process Creation, Testing and Governance
  • Previous work on implementing multiple complex enterprise level changes programs, creating standards, promoting and measuring adoption
  • 10+ years combination of solution design, technical implementation, and infrastructure architecture experience
  • Experience with application architectures, middleware, and technology platform architectures (cloud, on-premise, and hybrid)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure 
  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written)

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.  In addition to base pay, eligible employees may participate in various incentive plans which are paid out at the discretion of the company and subject to individual and company performance.
