What can you expect in this role?

  • Key contributor of financial planning and analysis support to enterprise-level strategic initiatives and organizational projects
  • Build relationships with business partners by supporting their project reporting needs and delivering valuable insights
  • Support project governance and cost control in conjunction with strategic initiatives and organizational projects
  • Track and report monthly on the performance of strategic initiatives and organizational projects
  • Provide financial support to the procurement team in the execution of vendor contracts across different projects
  • Assist the Finance Team and business partners with ad hoc requests for financial analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of annual and long-term financial budgets and forecasts for strategic initiatives
  • Work to continuously enhance current processes and financial reporting to improve accuracy and efficiency

What do you bring to the role?

  • Completed university degree, preferably within accounting, business, or finance
  • Completion of CPA, CFA, and/or CBV designation
  • 3-5 years of relevant Finance experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skill
  • Strong analytical skill and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently with minimal supervision
  • Self-starter who can identify opportunities for improvement and execute on them
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet firm deadlines
  • Previous planning and/or expense analysis experience considered an asset
  • Knowledge/experience within insurance industry considered an asses
  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion planning, Oracle Essbase reporting tools considered an asset
  • This role requires successful clearance of a background checks including credit & criminal checks along with business references
