What can you expect in this role?

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance Modernization and Continuous Improvement, this is key member of the finance team that collaborates with cross functional teams including as Enterprise Project Management office (EPMO), Technology Solutions (TS), Enterprise Change Enablement (ECE), Human Resources (HR), Data Governance (EDO), vendor partners and other business teams. This role will also encompass financial stewardship of master data for optimized business processes working with various finance teams and stakeholders.

Key focus will be working in collaboration with the Senior Implementation & Master Data Specialist on data archiving, retention, and conversation. You will also assist with performance metric reporting and tracking of objective & key results (OKR’s) to ensure alignment and results oriented delivery. You will use your financial, systems and master data experience with:

  • coordination of master data management through EDMCS in collaboration with financial stewards and adhering to data governance policies through the Enterprise Data Office (EDO),
  • coordination of the financial back-off operations and month-end cycle ensuring on-time delivery for financial and regulatory reporting deadlines,
  • perform data validations to understand root cause
  • month-end support for technical processes
  • product advocacy becoming a bridge between finance and support teams,
  • updating training documentation and SOP’s to train team members and end users,
  • providing guidance and input through the planning and execution of the Finance Modernization Program including participating in elaboration, build and test cycles,
  • providing support for master data archiving, retention, and conversion, and
  • assisting with key performance metric reporting, presentations and tracking of OKR’s

You will also demonstrate a keen ability to triage and manage month-end issues and coordinate activities toward a resolution.

Intuitive / Knowledge Driven – You will become a product advocate demonstrating super user knowledge of Oracle Cloud financial applications.

Detail Driven – Data is the lifeblood of any organization and your focus on master data analysis and management will propel refinement of strategies to ensure organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

Communication Skills – Excellent verbal and writing skills to effectively articulate insights, ideas and opinions that involve analysis, interpretation, and assessment.

You demonstrate experience and knowledge of Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud ERP, Microsoft Office, database processing, low code tools such MS Power Query & MS PowerPivot, Power BI and JIRA and Confluence. Knowledge of Collibra would be advantageous.

Requirements:

  • University Degree or college diploma in business, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline
  • Experience in ERP systems and implementation of ERP systems would be advantageous
  • Data and financial accounting and reporting experience
  • Master data cleansing and coordination experience
  • Strong communication to effectively communicate and lead workshops across functional teams to both business and technology teams
  • Experience in the insurance industry is an asset, but not required
