Specialist, Business Insights - Sonnet

What can you expect in this role?

  • Major part of this new role will be to build upon the work that has already been done, further operationalizing and productizing fraud detection and prevention processes and models. You will help Sonnet be at the leading edge of fraud detection and mitigation.
  • You will be working with the rest of the Business Insights team as well as other Sonnet and Economical teams gather and prepare data for analysis, reporting, visualization.
  • You will look for opportunities to automate processes as much as possible and where warranted.
  • You will also support the Business Insights in other areas, including business performance reporting analysis, building of new reports for other teams, which may include Marketing, Group/Affinity, UX, Pricing, as the need arises.
  • Your work will require data extraction, modelling, manipulation, and visualization, increasing the insights on customer engagement, acquisition, conversion, retention and fraud.
  • You will be reporting to the Manager, Business Insights.

What do you bring to this role?

  • Passion and curiosity for data analysis and putting insights into action.
  • Be investigative and proactive in finding the data that answers the “why” of customer behaviour and engagement.
  • Can analyze data and synthesize into effective reporting (tell the story) as well as producing analytical models ready for productization and deployment.
  • 3-5 years of experience with Excel, R/Python, Google Analytics, Salesforce, Tableau/PowerBI, Data modeling.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to set goals and create processes to achieve them.
