What can you expect in this role?
Reporting to the Manager, Deskside & Support, the Co-op Student supports new and existing systems and technology for Economical Insurance. The summer student works in a team environment to deliver a high quality of customer service and technical support with a focus on response and resolution to support business operations.
What you’ll be doing
Technical support and troubleshooting of hardware, software and application issues.
Resolving medium complexity incident and request tickets from the Help Desk.
Installing, upgrading, maintaining and decommissioning hardware and software
Deploying client hardware (i.e. desktops, laptops, VOIP phones, Blackberry, etc.).
Service and support of printers and multi-function devices.
Scheduling, supporting and troubleshooting video conferencing.
Collaboration with third level for technical analysis and problem resolution.
Diagnosis and investigation to identify underlying root cause.
What you bring
Working towards a university degree/college diploma in a technology, business or related discipline with a graduation date no earlier than January 2023
Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability related to both hardware and software
Some lifting of computer equipment may be required (approximately 40 lbs)
