What can you expect in this role?

  • Manage the forecasting & planning, reporting, and benchmarking activities for the organization’s expenses
  • Coordinate with all areas of the business to deliver expense forecasts and budgets in line with industry benchmarks and our strategic objectives
  • Assist with preparation of executive presentations and Board materials to facilitate forecast and budget approvals
  • Work closely with executive leadership, operations, head office departments and other functions
  • Develop ad hoc analysis and reporting to support expense management initiatives and decision making, and to evaluate expense performance against targets and historical periods
  • Identify best practices to ensure accuracy and consistency in expense reporting / materials
  • Develop, coach, mentor and manage the performance of direct reports, including a Senior Financial Analyst responsible for consolidated expenses, and the Head Office Support team responsible for providing financial support to head office departments
  • Drive continuous improvement to existing processes to increase efficiency and quality of delivery

What do you bring to this role?

  • A CPA accounting designation
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a people leadership role
  • Extensive experience in financial ownership of cross-functional initiatives and experience in strategic planning, process improvement and change management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization including Senior Executives
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
