Definity is seeking a Senior Associate to support the build of an M&A integration strategy and execute on future M&A integrations. As part of the Strategic Initiatives team, the successful candidate is expected to use their prior transformational project or M&A integration experience to support strategic value creation initiatives, including M&A integration.

What can you expect in this role?

  • Act as an ‘in-house management consultant’ to execute company-changing strategic initiatives. Apply creative solutioning, critical thinking and process enablement to deliver actions that impact the entire organization.
  • Be a key part of the Integration Management Office (IMO), and:
    • Execute integration plans and coordinate activities across multiple workstreams to facilitate timely & successful M&A integrations
    • Support initiatives to enhance organizational capabilities to enable the company to be integration ready
    • Track synergies and manage activities to normalize target operations into Definity
  • Work on other complex strategic initiatives, coordinating and monitoring cross-functional activities to ensure successful and timely completion
  • Create strategic and tactical presentation decks to senior management and the board of directors that communicate information and ideas effectively and simply
  • Plan workshops with broad range of functional leaders across the organization and identify cross-functional issues, dependencies and risks for resolution
  • Prepare high quality deliverables to support program planning, management, and document requirements
  • Research industry trends and best practices and apply learnings to the organization

What do you bring to this role?

  • 3-5 years of progressively senior experience gained at a top tier management consulting firm
  • Prior experience working on enterprise-level cross-disciplinary projects (such as business transformation or integration acquisition)
  • Strong business acumen, with demonstrated aptitude for strategic, analytical and critical thinking
  • Exceptional written presentation skills, with the ability to prepare informative and impactful presentation decks to express complex ideas graphically
  • Team player: demonstrated ability to collaborate with others to achieve results
  • Undergraduate degree at a leading university, with high proven achievement
