What you’ll be doing?

Reporting to the Manager (TBD), Digital Solutions, the Scrum Master is an agile team player who leads and facilitates the pod in all efforts related to stand-ups, planning meetings, sprint reviews and leadership updates and communication.  The focus is on team productivity which includes being the point person to remove impediments, promote continuous improvement and strengthen team building.

• Initiate discussions, facilitate decision-making and conflict resolution in order to assist in continuous improvement                                         
• Remove impediments/blockers through a deeper understanding of the current business objective in order to increase team velocity                                            
• Effectively serve the Product Owner through the grooming process in an effort to support in the delivery on their respective KPIs                                             
• Guide and motivate the team to be highly effective, self-organized, productive and accountable, constantly reviewing existing processes for improvements that impact team velocity                                                  
• Build a trusting and safe environment where problems/issues are addressed/discussed in a timely manner without fear of blame or retribution.                                               
• Organize and own all of the agile ceremonies, tools for tracking, and documentation management, building sprint plans for the team.                                           
• Assist with internal and external communication                                                  

What do you bring to the role?

• Understanding of agile practices/principles with the ability to implement Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) as needed. Must have experience speaking at a leadership level.                                                        
• 2+ years as a Scrum Master (or equivalent experience) working in an agile environment managing product or program initiatives PLUS 2-4+ years working in an business environment in order to understand overall business objectives and goals     
• Demonstrates effective coordination and collaboration between cross-function teams of design/UX, content and other business functional leads.                       
• Ability and willingness to lead and inspire teams to deliver results                             
• Past experience working in a collaborative environment either managing, motivating, mentoring, or coaching a team.                                                    
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with high attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
