We are looking for a talented and passionate team-player to join the Digital team as a Senior iOS Developer. You’ll be playing a big part in building the next evolution of our platform as we move to provide extensive new digital capabilities to our clients, working alongside a strong team of architects, developers, product managers and designers. Your work will contribute to the delivery, reliability, and optimization of digital mobile applications, leveraging the latest iOS based tooling and best practices. What can you expect in this role?

• Work with a team of skilled software developers to create a rapidly evolving consumer-facing mobile apps and platform
• Write high-quality code that is performant, reusable, and secure while adhering to industry best practices
• Proactively identify technical debt and seek ways to improve via refactoring of code
• Deploy, Maintain & Support iOS mobile applications
• Collaborate with Tech Lead and Mobile Architect to document solutions that is complete, accurate, auditable, and traceable to business and/or systems requirements
• Verify that solution documentation is complete, accurate, auditable, and traceable to business and/or systems requirements
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Is responsible for unit testing and system testing their code
• Assist in the translation of requirements into a story map in collaboration with the Discovery Team
• Design and maintain re-usable mobile assets
• Is responsible for unit testing and system testing their code

What do you bring to the role?

• University Degree or college diploma in computer science, information systems or a related discipline
• 4+ years of iOS development (conceptualization, design, and development), including experience with Swift 5 and XCTest
• Experience in publishing an application to Apple App Store
• Strong knowledge of UIKit, Auto Layout, and building interfaces programmatically
• Knowledge of SwiftUI is an asset
• Familiarity with different software design patterns, with some experience providing hands-on architectural design for native iOS apps
• Strong computer science fundamentals in object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures
• Experience building apps that consume RESTful APIs and third-party libraries
• A strong advocate of software craftsmanship, object-oriented and SOLID principles, and clean code architecture
• Good knowledge of Apple Human Interface Guideline best practices. Willing and able to provide designers with constructive feedback
• Proficient understanding of code versing tools such as Git
• Experience and basic understanding of collaboration tools such as: JIRA, Confluence and Slack
• Practical understanding of PaaS and micro-service architecture
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
• Portfolio, GitHub (or another open-source account), list of published works is a plus
